I would just like to share with everyone a great WordPress Plugin - cleantalk.org - I manage / support over 400 WordPress websites. I use various security plugins to help keep the sites secure, however I end up getting junk contact forms - and recaptcha doesn't always block this as it isn't a bot filling it out, but an actual person.
Cleantalk was recommended to me by a client and I now am in the process of installing it on all my sites. This is great for comment forms as well as CONTACT forms - and I don't need to do special setups per site. I install the plugin and link it with my CleanTalk.org account and I'm good to go, much faster than setting up recaptcha.
The screen shot shows an example of the stats you receive. One site had over 2000 comments (blog / contact forms) block just last week. Check them out
